Matt, Levi, Paul and I had a great meeting at the EERC this afternoon. Jay Almlie, Chad Wocken, and Josh Stanislowski discussed in detail their expertise about the low pressure Natural Gas Carbon Capture technology. Safety concerns and uninterrupted gas flow were also discussed as part of this new technology. They also gave us an update on the gas flaring problem in the Bakken and the challenges that the oil industry will have in the near future as new wells are brought into production. Unfortunately the pilot project that we would like to do in Hillsboro isn’t a good fit for EERC research. They gave us some other options to explore.
